Lisa LaRoche, LCSW

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who aims to create a safe and authentic space for healing. As a queer person and therapist, I aim to create an affirming space for all my clients. I pull from a few different techniques in my sessions to meet you where you are: I am Level 3 Radically Open-DBT trained and have extensive training in DBT. I also use narrative therapy and other strengths-based models to provide evidence-based care to uniquely fit clients’ needs. I have a passion for working with adults (18+) who have symptoms related to anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, loneliness, and life transitions.

I have my Bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Sciences and my Master’s in Social Work, both from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Since graduating in 2022, I have worked in community mental health, private practice, and in a virtual IOP setting. In my free time, I love to watch funny movies, shop for antiques, and hang with my partner and our three cats!
